Pollution of streams and ponds has meant a reduction in water life. However, frogs and newts may still find a refuge in the relatively clean water of garden ponds.

These are present:

Frog (Rana temporaria)
Toad (Bufo bufo)
Smooth newt (Triturus vulgaris)
Grass snake (Natrix natrix)
